About this resource
This program offers financial assistance to support current or former foster care youth in pursuing post-secondary education and training. The last Chafee Grant payment must be received in the term prior to the youth reaching 26 years of age.

Who can use this
- -Must currently be in child welfare foster care, or -Have been in child welfare foster care for a minimum of 180 days (six months) after the applicant's 13th birthday and exited substitute care at age 14 or older -Be a former foster youth who was adopted or entered into a guardianship on or after their 13th birthday, with adoption/guardianship finalized after 9/1/2015 -Applicants must be 25 years old or younger.
