About this resource

This public health initiative aims to enhance health outcomes and promote better nutrition and health habits among women, infants, and children. The program includes nutrition education classes, breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for supplemental nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Who can use this

  • To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four criteria: - Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not a requirement) - Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under age 5. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may apply for a qualifying child. - Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible for WIC. - Have a nutritional risk determined during the appointment.

  • Proof of ID for parent/guardian and child, proof of address, and proof of income
