Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative delivers essential services to newly arrived refugees, asylees, Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders, foreign-born trafficking victims, and Cuban/Haitian entrants. The dedicated program staff and community volunteers focus on fulfilling the basic needs of refugees, including providing shelter, furnishings, food, and clothing. Case Managers assist with referrals to additional service providers and support refugee newcomers in achieving self-sufficiency by helping them secure safe housing, attend cultural orientation classes, apply for health insurance, access employment services, learn English, receive public assistance, and enroll in schools.
