About this resource
Summer EBT is a grocery assistance initiative aimed at helping families purchase food for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, families receive a single payment of $120 on an EBT card for every eligible child to use for groceries. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after issuance. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility checks, application status, and EBT card concerns.

Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Families may qualify for Summer EBT automatically if a participating child has been approved through an application or if they attend a school involved in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meet specific income criteria. Some families may need to apply if their household meets the income guidelines for free or reduced-price school meals.
