About this resource
This initiative provides larger garbage containers to households that have heightened waste disposal needs stemming from adult diapers or other health-related waste. Such waste includes adult diapers and various incontinence supplies, but excludes diapers for children under four, feminine hygiene products, and any items categorized as “Infectious Waste.” Eligible households will be provided with a garbage cart that is one size larger than their current one.

Fees: There are no additional charges for the larger cart. Participants must cover the standard garbage service fees.

- Households enrolled in programs like SNAP, City of Portland water bill assistance, or the Oregon Telephone Assistance Program (OTAP) qualify.
