About this resource
This initiative provides work attire and employment assistance services. Work-Ready Clothing: Individuals receive interview and work-appropriate clothing to aid their transition into employment. Clients are given five pieces of work-ready clothing along with shoes, a coat, and accessories for job interviews, plus an additional five pieces upon securing a job. Job Preparation: The program features job preparation courses known as Fast Track, which are currently conducted online. These classes are held in a recurring cycle of four sessions each month from January to November. Further services are accessible after completing Fast Track. Employment Retention: The Professional Women's Group (PWG) is a continuous program that allows participants to connect virtually with working women. It includes workshops and presentations focused on life and career support. The PWG holds regular meetings featuring community speakers. Topics may cover financial literacy, career advancement, workplace etiquette, health and wellness, communication skills, and leadership development.
Intake Procedure: Clients with scheduled job interviews are referred by a local social service agency. Please visit the website for a list of participating agencies.
Travel/Location: The service is located in the Hollywood District, between NE Broadway and NE Sandy Streets. Free parking is available at the Banfield Motel, and it is conveniently close to the Hollywood / NE 42nd Avenue MAX Transit Station and TriMet bus lines 12, 75, and 77.
