About this resource

This initiative features school-based empowerment programs and assertiveness training, which include: -Allies in Action: An interactive, peer-focused strategy aimed at decreasing rivalry and hostility among girls -Friendly PEERsuasion: Tackles drug abuse prevention as a peer-related concern, motivating youth to exemplify healthy behaviors -Operation SMART: Engages community resources to assist girls -Economic Literacy: Aids girls in making wise financial choices and achieving economic stability. These initiatives aim to enhance girls' confidence and capabilities in educational settings by promoting self-esteem, cooperative learning, and essential developmental skills.

Travel/Location: Accessible via Trimet routes 35, 40. Parking and the main building entrance are located off South Landing Drive. Turn off S Macadam Avenue east towards the river, using either S Hamilton Court or S Boundary Street, then onto S Landing Court. One hour of guest parking is available in front of the building.

Fees: No charges.

Who can use this

  • Girls aged 6-18 must participate in programs linked to their respective schools, which may differ.
