About this resource
Relief nurseries focus on assisting families with young children who are particularly vulnerable to abuse and neglect. They offer comprehensive support to these high-risk families through personalized case management. LifeWorks NW delivers a range of wraparound services, which include early childhood intervention, as well as social, emotional, and family support. Additional offerings encompass mental health services, trauma assessments, expertise in traumatic stress, home visits, parent/infant and parent/toddler classes, art and music therapy, respite childcare, and weekly parenting courses utilizing the "Making Parenting a Pleasure" curriculum. Enrollment is required for parents and children to access most services.
Intake Procedure: Contact for eligibility screening and to schedule an intake appointment.
Travel/Location: Accessible via TriMet bus lines 4, 17, and 75.
Fees: No charges apply.
Who can use this
- The program is designed for caregivers with children aged 0-5 and women in their third trimester of pregnancy, particularly those facing multiple high-risk factors.
