About this resource
SHIBA provides trained volunteers who educate, assist, and advocate for individuals with Medicare. These volunteers guide Medicare recipients in understanding their rights and health insurance choices, enabling them to make well-informed decisions. Additionally, SHIBA volunteers can offer insights on the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) program, which is a Medicaid initiative that aids Medicare recipients in covering their medical expenses.
