About this resource
This initiative provides trained volunteers who educate, assist, and advocate for individuals with Medicare. SHIBA volunteers guide those with Medicare in understanding their rights and health insurance options, enabling them to make well-informed choices. They can also offer insights into the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) program, a Medicaid initiative designed to help Medicare recipients cover their medical expenses.
