About this resource
Early Head Start offers services aimed at preparing children for school by fostering their social and cognitive growth through educational, health, nutritional, social, and additional support for enrolled children and their families. Parent services include classes, support, and networking opportunities.

Fees: There are no fees associated.
Who can use this
- Eligible participants include pregnant individuals and families with infants and children aged 0-3, particularly those with incomes at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Children in foster care, those experiencing homelessness, and kids from families receiving public assistance (like TANF, SNAP, or SSI) qualify regardless of income. Families with higher incomes may also be considered based on specific needs, with priority given to those with greater needs.
Documents you may need
- -Copy of child's birth certificate and/or proof of pregnancy -Proof of last year's income (for all parents/guardians in the home), proof of current year's income (for all parents/guardians in the home), and/or copy of a pay stub, a letter from an employer, or a letter from DHS or unemployment with verification of job training, health insurance card, if the family has health insurance (insurance is not required to apply)
