Neighborhood House

Community Resource

Serves: Portland, Multnomah County

About this resource

This initiative provides food boxes that consist of both perishable and non-perishable items, including fresh produce, canned goods, frozen items, dairy products, and meat. Occasionally, extra baked goods are available for pickup during regular business hours, and shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags. The program accommodates dietary and cultural preferences, offering options such as gluten-free, dairy-free, halal, kosher, and easy-to-prepare meals. Shoppers can visit the pantry twice a month and select up to two weeks' worth of food. Delivery services are available in certain areas, and the program also welcomes food and monetary donations.

Intake Process: For the food pantry, individuals can walk in, and first-time visitors will need to complete a simple application to join the Link2Feed network. For delivery, interested parties should visit the website to fill out a delivery form and check the service area. Deliveries can be arranged up to three weeks in advance.

Location: The facility is situated one block behind the Neighborhood House administration building, with the Resource Center located upstairs and the food market on the ground floor on Moss Street.

Costs: There are no fees associated with this service.
