About this resource
This program delivers vocational rehabilitation, training in independent living skills, career exploration, and general counseling specifically for adults who are legally blind. It also extends independent living services to those with visual impairments. Services include orientation and mobility training, daily living techniques, Braille instruction, counseling, support groups, vocational training, job development, and transition assistance for blind high school students. Additionally, there is a selection of adaptive products available for individuals with visual impairments.
Intake Procedure: Services are available by appointment only; please call to arrange a meeting.
Fees: Contact for details; payments accepted in cash or check only.
Who can use this
- Eligibility varies based on service; includes adults who are legally blind or diagnosed with a condition that may lead to blindness, or those aged 55 and older who cannot drive or read the newspaper with glasses.
