About this resource
Summer EBT is a program designed to support families in acquiring food for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, families receive a single payment of $120 on an EBT card for every eligible child to purchase groceries. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after they are issued. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility verification, application status, and EBT card issues.
Application Process: For more information, please visit the website. Families can apply for benefits for 2026 at any time by filling out an application, which can be submitted via mail or email.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Families may automatically qualify for Summer EBT if their child has been approved through an application or if they attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meet household income criteria.
