About this resource
Summer EBT is a program designed to assist families in purchasing food for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, families receive a one-time payment of $120 on an EBT card for each eligible child to use for groceries. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after they are issued. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility verification, application status, and EBT card issues.
Application Process: Visit the website for further details. Families can apply for benefits for 2026 at any time by filling out an application, which can be submitted via mail or email.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Families may automatically qualify for Summer EBT if their child has been approved for benefits through an application or if they attend a school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meet certain income criteria.
