About this resource
This program provides financial support for electricity, gas, and heating fuels (including oil, propane, and wood) based on available funding. However, assistance is limited and not guaranteed.
Intake Procedure: -To request an appointment, call and leave a message including your first and last name, a contact number, and the name of your utility provider when the line is open. -Appointments are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no priority for clients with disconnected services. -Typically, capacity is reached on the same day the program opens, often within 30 minutes or less. -The aim is to return phone messages within five business days, but same-day appointments cannot be assured.
Travel/Location: Located one block north of the 181st Station on the Blue Line MAX.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Individuals aged 60 and above, adults with disabilities, and families with children under six years old.
Documents you may need
- Required at intake appointment: -Social Security number -Identification card -Current utility bill -Proof of income (proof of social security income must be a benefit letter for 2026)
