This program provides financial assistance and technical guidance for conservation efforts that aim to restore forest health, reduce further damage, and encourage sustainable management practices for non-industrial private forestland owners affected by natural disasters, including wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, ice storms, floods, and other qualifying incidents.
Intake Procedure: Interested parties should visit the website. Producers are required to submit a request for assistance to their local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office.
Fees: Cost-share assistance can cover up to 75% of the allowable expenses for approved conservation practices.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is limited to owners of non-industrial private forest land that has suffered damage from natural disasters, with the damage needing to significantly affect productivity or threaten forest health.
