About this resource
Veterans have access to various treatment options for substance use disorders, which include both individual and group therapy as well as medications aimed at helping clients decrease their use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. VA providers recognize that substance use issues are often chronic and necessitate prolonged care. However, some veterans may find that their substance use challenges can be addressed more swiftly if associated issues, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, sleep disturbances, irritability, or relationship difficulties, are also managed.
Intake Procedure: Contact for an appointment. The screening and assessment typically lasts around 3 hours.
Fees: No charges apply.
