About this resource

This initiative provides peer support to parents dealing with addiction who are engaged with the ODHS Child Welfare and criminal justice systems. Each parent is paired with a mentor who assists them in navigating the child welfare process and completing their substance abuse treatment. Additionally, mentors facilitate connections to recovery communities. This program is part of Parents Anonymous Oregon.

Who can use this

  • Open to any parent who: -Has an ongoing Child Welfare case due to substance abuse -Is actively undergoing treatment for substance abuse -Is in the process of reuniting with their children after completing treatment.
