About this resource
This program offers trained volunteers who provide education, assistance, and advocacy for individuals with Medicare. SHIBA volunteers guide Medicare beneficiaries in understanding their rights and health insurance options, enabling them to make well-informed choices. They also share details about the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) program, which is a Medicaid initiative designed to help Medicare recipients cover their medical expenses.

Travel/Location: The office is situated in a two-story building adjacent to the Best Western Hotel and directly across from Walmart. If traveling from Salem, take the second Dallas exit off Highway 22 and proceed on Kings Valley Highway until you reach Walmart.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
