About this resource
Summer EBT is a grocery assistance initiative designed to support families in purchasing food for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, families will receive a single annual payment of $120 on an EBT card for every eligible child to use for groceries. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after issuance. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility verification, application status, and EBT card issues.
Application Process: Families can apply for 2026 benefits at any time by submitting an application.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Families may automatically qualify for Summer EBT if their child has been approved for benefits through an application or if they attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meet certain income criteria.
