About this resource
The Housing Choice Voucher Program, commonly referred to as Section 8, enables eligible families with very low incomes to rent a range of housing options, including apartments, duplexes, manufactured homes, and single-family houses from private landlords, with a rental subsidy managed by the agency. It also addresses complaints regarding Section 8 properties.
Intake Procedure: You can apply by walking in, calling, or visiting the website.
Travel/Location: The office is situated off Kings Valley Highway 223, just north of Rickreall Creek.
Fees: There are no application fees, and rental prices vary depending on the property.
Who can use this
- Household income must not exceed 50% of the Area Median Income based on household size.
Documents you may need
- Bring Social Security cards for all household members at time of application or send copies of Social Security cards if submitting via mail or electronically
