About this resource

This initiative provides financial aid to help cover expenses for electric, natural gas, and heating fuels such as oil, wood, propane, and pellets. Payments made through LIHEAP will be recognized as utility support within the Social Services Emergency Assistance Program. Applicants who have received LIHEAP funds from another agency after October 1 are not eligible to apply.

Location: From Highway 18, take a right onto Grand Ronde Road. Continue for one mile and then turn left onto the Tribal Campus. The Social Services department is found in Building B, the Community Center, while the Education Division is located in Building K.

Costs: There are no fees associated with this program.

Who can use this

  • Eligibility is limited to members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR) whose household income does not exceed 60% of the median income, with specific requirements regarding utility account names.
