About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver education, health services, nutrition, social support, and additional resources, including developmental screenings, specifically for children of migrant workers while their parents labor in the fields. The initiative aims to enhance preschoolers' language, reading, and math abilities crucial for academic success, with a strong emphasis on parental engagement. Services for parents and expectant mothers encompass parenting classes, family support, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around child care may be offered.
