About this resource
Options counselors provide guidance to individuals to help them make informed choices about long-term care. They assess personal strengths, needs, preferences, and specific circumstances. Counselors offer insights into support strategies, action plans, and options available within the community. Options Counseling can function as an independent service for participants or may lead to Older Americans Act Case Management (OAA), which supports individuals needing continuous assistance to maintain independence. Care coordinators play a role in problem-solving, advocacy, and connecting participants with resources and community support to improve quality of life and future planning for later years.

Travel/Location: The office is situated across from the Forestry Department.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.

- -Options Counseling: Available for individuals aged 60 and above, adults with disabilities, veterans, and their family members or caregivers -OAA: Available for individuals aged 60 and above
