Assistance for utility payments covering water, electricity, natural gas, oil, propane, wood, pellets, and other heating fuels is available. Payments are made directly to the service providers, and individuals can receive assistance only once within a 12-month timeframe.
To apply, call to schedule an appointment or check the website for the application process.
There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- To qualify for LIHEAP, applicants must have an income at or below 60% of the State Median and must possess a shut-off notice or have already been disconnected.
Documents you may need
- Proof of income, address, photo ID, and Social Security cards for all members of the household, current utility bill, shut-off notice
