About this resource

The program offers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly referred to as food stamps, for eligible individuals. Benefits are provided via an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, known as the Oregon Trail Card.

Application Process: To apply, individuals must submit an application and complete an interview either in person or by phone with an ODHS eligibility worker. There are several ways to apply: -Visit a local ODHS Self-Sufficiency Office (note that Processing Centers do not provide in-person services) -Complete an application online -Download a PDF application, fill it out, and send it by mail, fax, or deliver it in person -Call the office to request a mailed application After submission, applicants will receive a call from the local ODHS office to schedule an interview, either in person or by phone. It is essential to contact the local office to arrange the interview, as ODHS workers cannot leave messages on voicemails that do not include the applicant's name in the greeting.

Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
