About this resource
Summer EBT is a program designed to assist families in purchasing groceries for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, eligible families receive a single payment of $120 on an EBT card for each qualifying child to help with food expenses. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after they are issued. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility verification, application status, and EBT card issues.
Intake Procedure: Applications for 2026 benefits can be submitted at any time.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- Families may automatically qualify for Summer EBT if a participating child has been approved through an application or if they attend a school that is part of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meet certain income criteria.
