About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and fostering lifelong nutrition and health habits for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes, breastfeeding support, monthly benefits for additional nutritious foods, and referrals to community resources.

Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not mandatory) -Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under the age of 5. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians can apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF automatically qualify based on income. -Demonstrate a nutritional risk (evaluated during the appointment).
