The service looks into reports of abuse that may involve physical injury, financial exploitation, emotional or verbal mistreatment, forced isolation, wrongful restraint, unwanted sexual advances, caregiver abandonment, inadequate basic care, or self-neglect (when individuals cannot adequately care for themselves due to cognitive limitations, potentially resulting in harm).

- Individuals aged 65 and older, or those 18 and older with physical or developmental disabilities or mental health issues.
