Beaverton School District 48
Community Resource
About this resource
The Family Resource Coordinator (FRC) offers families guidance and referrals concerning early education, parenting assistance, essential needs, and health services. Additionally, the FRC organizes play groups, parenting classes, and workshops focused on early learning. Operating within the community without a fixed office, the FRC moves between various elementary school sites. In these classes, parents can connect with one another and enhance their parenting abilities while acquiring nurturing techniques to aid their children both at home and in educational settings. Subjects discussed may include social and language development, fostering independence and problem-solving, self-care, resourcefulness, positive discipline, overall wellbeing, and financial literacy. Childcare and snacks or meals are provided.
