This program provides medical benefits via OHP for individuals who require treatment for breast or cervical cancer and lack health insurance. Referrals can be requested from healthcare providers.

Intake Process: Any provider who conducts screenings for breast or cervical cancer can refer patients by submitting a completed application to OHP. Applications are typically processed by the following business day, and coverage under the Oregon Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCTP) starts on the day a provider confirms a cervical cancer diagnosis.

Costs: There are no fees associated with this program.

Who can use this

  • Individuals under 65 residing in Oregon who need treatment for breast or cervical cancer, lack minimum essential coverage, do not qualify for other Medicaid programs, and have a household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) are eligible to apply, regardless of gender identity or expression.
