This initiative enables families to construct and purchase their own residences, with homes being sold at no profit to the families.

Fees: The mortgage terms vary based on income and available programs. Habitat guarantees that the total payment (including property taxes, insurance, and any applicable fees) will not exceed 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income at the time of sale.
Who can use this
- Applicants must fulfill several criteria: 1) Show a clear housing need 2) Commit to 250 hours of sweat equity per adult in construction 3) Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents 4) Not have owned a home in the last 3 years 5) Demonstrate the ability to make mortgage payments (with stable income and good credit history).
