About this resource

The program hosts a weekly drop-in center where young individuals can find food, clothing, showers, and hygiene items, as well as receive referrals for additional resources. Activities such as crafts, sports, and games may also take place at these centers. Outreach workers are available to meet with youth throughout Washington County to discuss available resources. The program also runs education and employment initiatives, providing personalized support for job searches, application help, skills training, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, school re-engagement, financial aid navigation, and college or trade school enrollment, along with life skills development.

Intake Procedure: Youth can walk in and are only required to provide their name and age at the drop-in center.

Travel/Location: The center is located at the southwest corner of 5th and Main in the basement of the First Congregational UCC Church. The TriMet MAX blue line and bus lines 33, 46, 47, 48, and 57 stop at the Hillsboro Central/SE 3rd Ave Transit Center at 3rd and Washington, from which it is a two-block walk east to 5th and one block north to Main.

Fees: There are no fees for services.

Who can use this

  • Eligible participants are youth aged 12-24 who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, with services available until their 25th birthday.
