About this resource
This initiative provides guidance, assistance, and consultation to school districts that serve students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. It offers various support services aimed at the effective development and execution of the English Language Learner (ELL) and Migrant Education programs. The Migrant Education program is a federal initiative designed to allocate funds that aid state and local educational agencies in overcoming challenges faced by migrant students regarding school enrollment, attendance, and academic success. Services may include tutoring, personalized assistance during or after school, summer educational programs, complimentary 24-hour accident injury insurance, parental involvement support, connections to community resources, and guidance for older youth regarding college and career transitions.

Who can use this
- To qualify, individuals must be 21 or younger, eligible for free public education through grade 12 without having graduated or obtained a GED, have moved within the last 36 months due to economic necessity, and have engaged in qualifying seasonal work in agriculture or fishing.
