Community Action Washington County
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative delivers weatherization services aimed at helping households decrease their utility costs. It includes home visits from an educator or auditor who shares energy-saving advice, provides efficient lighting solutions, and distributes water-saving devices. Eligible households might also receive extensive weatherization services, which start with an energy audit to identify potential energy-saving installations. Following this, private contractors are tasked with implementing the suggested cost-effective improvements, which can encompass insulation for ceilings, floors, or walls; durable EPDM roofing; duct sealing; water heaters; heating systems; exhaust fans; and replacements of energy-efficient windows and refrigerators.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call for screening and application or can download an application from the website. Initial wait times before the first visit may vary depending on the heating source, potentially ranging from 4 to 6 weeks.
Travel/Location: Accessible via TriMet bus line 94.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
