About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver a range of services such as education, health, nutrition, social services, and additional support like developmental screenings for children of migrant workers while their parents labor in the fields. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers enhance their language, reading, and math abilities necessary for academic success, while also promoting parental engagement. It provides resources for parents and expectant mothers, including parenting workshops, family support, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around child care services may be offered.
