The program delivers a thorough and developmentally suitable child care service for children from six weeks to five years old. It is licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services and serves children of SCCC students, faculty, staff, Suffolk County employees, and community members. The program features affordable pricing, a sliding fee scale, and various tuition assistance options. It ensures a warm, safe, healthy, and engaging environment, with flexible scheduling to accommodate parents' work or college commitments, allowing them to visit their children at any time. Staff members are carefully chosen based on their educational qualifications, early childhood training, teaching experience, and sensitivity to young children's individual needs. The program maintains adult-to-child ratios that meet or exceed New York State Department of Social Services standards and provides meals that comply with New York State Department of Health nutritional guidelines. The centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
