About this resource
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) are federally-supported meal initiatives available in public and nonprofit private schools as well as residential childcare facilities. These programs aim to deliver nutritionally balanced meals, offering both low-cost and free breakfast and lunch options. Additionally, schools and childcare centers might provide other nutrition-related services, such as after-school snacks.
To apply, reach out to your child's school for details, check the school's website, or apply online at: www.ode.state.or.us/apps/FRLApp.
There are no fees or they are minimal.
Who can use this
- - Children attending participating schools with family incomes at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) are eligible for free meals. - Eligibility for reduced-price meals depends on family size and household income.
