If families qualify, local partner agencies will reach out to provide shelter and housing-related services. However, meeting the eligibility criteria does not ensure access to these services, as assistance is prioritized based on various factors, including resource availability. Families may experience a waiting period ranging from a few months to a year, and it is recommended that they pursue additional resources and support. This program is unable to provide financial assistance for evictions to keep families in their current homes but may help with future housing if homelessness occurs.

To apply: Call 211info to be placed on the callback list for program assessment. Once on the list, a Homeless Services Specialist from 211 will return the call within 48 hours to conduct the MSST assessment. Friends, family, or caseworkers can add individuals to the callback list, but the head of household must be contacted directly for the complete assessment within a few days. Support persons can be present during the assessment call but cannot conduct it on behalf of the family.
