About this resource
This service offers free and confidential emotional support for individuals experiencing suicidal crises or emotional distress throughout the United States. It directs callers to their nearest crisis center and provides specialized lines for veterans and American Indians/Alaskan Natives.
Intake Procedure: Dial 988 to connect with the closest crisis center within the network. A toll-free number is also available for assistance. Veterans can press 1 to reach a dedicated veterans hotline. To contact the Native and Strong Helpline, text NATIVE to 741741.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
