About this resource
The First Connection Program pairs patients with peer volunteers considering factors such as diagnosis, age, and gender to foster mutual understanding and effective communication. The peer volunteers receive training in fundamental counseling techniques, stay informed about LLS and community resources, and uphold confidentiality.
