Community Alliance Of Tenants
Community Resource
About this resource
This service operates a hotline dedicated to renter rights, covering areas such as fair housing, evictions, terminations, relocation aid, foreclosures, and limits on rent increases. It also shares valuable information for landlords. Priority access is granted to members and residents of Coos, Deschutes, Jackson, Marion, Multnomah, and Washington Counties, while individuals from other Oregon counties must obtain membership to access services.
To initiate contact, individuals can call, email, or visit the website for assistance. They should provide their name, phone number, city, Community Alliance of Tenants (CAT) membership status, a brief overview of their issues, and the best time for a callback. Please note that due to a high volume of inquiries and significant budget constraints, response times may be slower than usual.
Fees: There are no charges for residents of Coos, Deschutes, Jackson, Marion, Multnomah, and Washington Counties, while those from other counties are required to pay a $10 annual membership fee, with an option to volunteer for 2 hours to waive the dues.
