This service provides affordable mediation options in-person, via phone, and at small claims court. It addresses issues such as neighborhood disputes, landlord-tenant conflicts, foreclosure, family matters, and employer-employee disagreements, but does not cover cases involving drugs or violence.

Intake Process: To initiate, fill out the webform on our site, or reach out through phone or email, and a case manager will get in touch to evaluate the situation. Currently, there is no drop-in service, though some face-to-face meetings may be scheduled at our accessible downtown office located in the Medical Dental Building. Most mediation sessions are conducted online through Zoom or by phone. The organization also offers mediators for small claims court in King County, allowing litigants to attempt mediation prior to their court date. If no agreement is achieved, a judge will set a trial date, typically within 30-45 days.

Costs: Mediation services are free for small claims court sessions and phone consultations. For other mediation sessions, fees vary from $35 to $350 for a three-hour session, depending on a sliding scale. Services will not be denied due to financial constraints.
