Climate Support is an HRSN service available through the Oregon Health Plan, designed to provide devices that enhance safety during climate-related events. The devices covered are intended for use solely within the member's home or primary residence and may include: - Air conditioners, heaters, and air filters to maintain healthy air quality and temperatures - Mini fridges to preserve medications during power outages - Portable power sources to run medical equipment like ventilators in case of a power failure. Members are eligible for HRSN climate services only once in their lifetime.
To apply, individuals should call or visit the website for additional details; there is a form available online for screening by the 211info HRSN team.
There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is limited to members of HealthShare/Kaiser CCO who meet specific criteria, including having a qualifying living situation, a health condition that complicates climate events, access to electricity, and the ability to use the device safely.
