About this resource
PRAMS (Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System) represents a partnership between the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Its goal is to investigate the reasons behind the varying health outcomes of infants. To achieve this, the PRAMS questionnaire gathers insights from new mothers regarding their behaviors and experiences throughout their pregnancy journey. In Nevada, numerous infants are born with significant health issues each year. The responses collected from the PRAMS survey will contribute to enhancing the health of mothers and infants in the state. Ultimately, PRAMS aims to decrease infant morbidity and mortality rates while promoting maternal health by shaping maternal and child health initiatives, policies, and behaviors during pregnancy and the early stages of life.
Intake Procedure: The PRAMS survey is distributed randomly using the birth certificate registry. It comes with detailed instructions on how to complete and return the survey. For further details, please visit the website.
Fees: There is no cost to participate.
