The financial aid is designed to cover essential needs like food, clothing, housing, and utility bills. Recipients of TANF may also have the opportunity to engage in the Jobs Opportunity and Basic Skills (JOBS) program, which supports them in earning a high school diploma or GED, alongside job readiness and essential life skills.

After submitting the application: - The local DHS office will reach out to schedule either an in-person or phone interview - Applicants can also directly contact the local DHS office to arrange their interview - DHS representatives are unable to leave messages on voicemails that do not have the applicant's name in the greeting.
