About this resource
The program offers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which is often called food stamps, to those who qualify. Benefits are delivered through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which is also known as the Oregon Trail Card.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is assessed individually: -Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, calculated as monthly income before taxes -Factors influencing eligibility and the amount of monthly SNAP benefits include income sources, housing expenses, utility bills, out-of-pocket medical costs for individuals aged 60 and older or those with disabilities, and family member relationships -Certain additional criteria may apply for students, immigrants, and adults aged 18-52 without dependents -Applicants must be U.S. citizens or fulfill specific non-citizen criteria to qualify for SNAP.
