About this resource
Life Start Village is a self-sufficiency initiative designed to provide secure housing and various support services for single-parent families who are overcoming issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, or substance abuse. The program creates a nurturing environment that allows families to address past traumas, strengthen relationships, and enhance their financial well-being. The initial phase features a dormitory-style living arrangement, and families can progress to more independent housing after completing this phase.

Who can use this
- Parents must have custody of at least one child under 12, be substance abuse-free for six months prior to application, and have a source of income to be eligible for phase I.
Documents you may need
- Photo ID — Photo ID for the head of the household.; Birth Certificate — Birth certificate and social security card for each household member.; A payment method for the required $500 deposit.
