The Pet Fund
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative provides financial support for non-essential, non-emergency veterinary care for companion animals, and it usually has a waitlist. Interested applicants must reach out to The Pet Fund via email prior to applying for funding to understand the current waitlist duration and eligibility criteria. Applications submitted without prior communication with a staff member will not be processed, and submissions must be faxed. For veterinarians, they can request funding on behalf of their clients. It's important to review the funding eligibility guidelines available on the website, as the staff will rely on the veterinarian's assessment for eligibility. The requesting veterinarian is also required to have a phone consultation with The Pet Fund staff and confirm their veterinary license details. There are no fees associated with this process.
Who can use this
- To qualify for assistance, applicants must have owned their companion animal for at least six months, demonstrate financial need, and the animal must have a serious health condition with a prognosis of at least 50% survival beyond six months, as determined by a veterinarian.
